What to expect

Are the animals good with children?

Absolutely, alpacas are gentle and seem to have a real connection with people.

They bring joy and happiness, even to guests “who are there just to make up numbers”.

It is worth taking into account that due to the nature of being up close to various animals that children need to be calm and respectful.

We trust the judgment of the parents as to whether they feel this is a suitable activity for their children.

We do get children that are scared, and we are calm and encouraging with the children and often they do overcome their fears.

Please do keep the alpaca you have been allocated, unless we swap them for you. Sometimes a miss match happens, but we will make the swap.

Children under 10 are required to share with an adult. (This is one adult and child per alpaca).

Children aged between 10-16 must be accompanied by at least one fee paying adult who is in charge of them.

What to wear and other T's and C's

We advise walking boots or wellies ideally. Trainers might be ok in the summer, but it can still be a bit muddy.

White trainers might not be white by the end of your experience.

Flip flops are not allowed to be worn.

Sun screen is advised in hot weather and waterproofs too. The weather can be changable and we are an outside activity.
